Famous Actor/Comedian, Gordon Pinsent, was born July 12, 1930 in Grand Falls-Windsor.
Former NHL player, Tony White, played with the Junior and Senior Grand Falls-Windsor hockey teams; Grand Falls-Windsor Novas, Grand Falls Cataracts & Grand Falls Flyers. He later drafted to the Washington Capitals in 1974 Left-Winger, Don Howse, was born in Grand Falls-Windsor and played with the hometown Cataracts in 1968-1969 before signing with the Montreal Canadians in 1973 and then playing a season with the LA Kings.
